ground courses
Develop confident and effective radio communication skills essential for safe flying. This course covers correct radio phraseology, operation of communication equipment, troubleshooting common issues, and transmitting emergency messages.

Ideal for aspiring and current private pilots, this course provides the technical knowledge required to operate aircraft safely through normal and emergency phases of flight. You’ll also learn how to clearly describe technical issues to engineers.

New Zealand weather – especially in mountainous regions like Wānaka can be complex and rapidly changing. This course covers weather patterns, forecasting, and how to anticipate conditions to make safe, informed flying decisions.
