About the course
Navigation' is an incredibly important of aviation, and includes planning, recording, and controlling the aircraft when flying from one location to the other.
If you want to learn techniques on map reading, planning, how to avoid getting lost, managing your flight, and much more then this is for you!
- Anyone who is looking to refresh their knowledge of navigating and planning without electronic aids.
- Anyone who wants to be able to navigate when their iPad fails.
- Anyone on their PPL journey and needs to sit the PPL Navigation and Flight Planning Exam.
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Plan a cross country flight across NZ or around the world in accordance with industry best practice; and
- Have a thorough working knowledge of practical navigation techniques; and
- Understand how to operate an aircraft in normal and emergency states in different environments; and
- Have a sound knowledge of the syllabus detailed in AC 61-3; and
- With some revision sit and pass the CAANZ Aircraft Technical Knowledge Examination
